- What inspired you to be part of the OPES 2025 journey as a Brand Ambassador?
As someone deeply committed to advancing Oman’s chemical and energy ecosystem, being a Brand Ambassador for OPES 2025 felt like a natural extension of my purpose. It’s not just an event—it’s a platform to showcase Omani excellence, innovation, and collaboration in energy. Representing APC, I saw this as an opportunity to voice the potential of local manufacturing, R&D, and homegrown solutions in driving future energy resilience.
- Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got involved in the energy sector?
With a foundation in chemical engineering and a strong business development focus, I’ve spent the last several years building specialty chemical solutions for Oman’s oil & gas sector. Working at APC, a division of The National Detergent Company, enabled me to bridge R&D, manufacturing, and client engagement—all within the energy value chain. The dynamic nature of the sector, and its direct impact on national development, continues to fuel my passion.
- What does energy mean to you personally—beyond the technical definition?
To me, energy represents progress—the ability to empower lives, industries, and nations. It’s the invisible force that drives innovation, connects communities, and transforms ideas into action. Beyond molecules and megawatts, energy is possibility.
- How is Oman uniquely positioned in the global energy landscape?
Oman is at a pivotal point—rich in hydrocarbons, yet strongly committed to diversifying into renewables and localizing the supply chain. With its strategic geography, forward-thinking leadership, and growing industrial base, Oman has the potential to become a regional hub for integrated energy solutions—from production to transformation.
- How do you plan to use your platform as a Brand Ambassador to engage the wider community?
Through storytelling, collaboration, and visibility. I aim to showcase success stories from local players like APC, encourage young innovators to join the energy transition, and foster dialogue between industry veterans and emerging talent. Whether through panels, outreach, or social media, I’ll amplify the message that Oman is open for energy leadership.
- How can industry leaders balance sustainability with profitability?
By embracing innovation and long-term thinking. Sustainable technologies and local sourcing may have upfront costs, but they build resilience and reduce dependency. Leaders must measure ROI not just in terms of profit margins—but also in environmental impact, social value, and national contribution.
- What advice would you give to young professionals entering the oil and gas or energy space?
Be curious. The energy sector is evolving—so should you. Learn not just your discipline but the bigger picture—supply chain, sustainability, digitalization. Build relationships. And most importantly, believe that your ideas can shape the future.
- In one word, how would you describe the future of energy in the region?
Empowered.
