Daleel Petroleum

What motivated your organisation to sponsor OPES 2026?

OPES is a strategic national platform for Oman’s energy sector, bringing together innovation, competitiveness, digital transformation, and sustainable growth.

By sponsoring OPES 2026, Daleel Petroleum demonstrates our commitment to the national energy sector, actively contributing to Oman’s energy dialogue, sharing technical advancements, and supporting the development of the local energy ecosystem. As a mature onshore operator in Block 5, we also see it as our responsibility to showcase practical innovations that enhance production sustainability, operational efficiency, and responsible resource management.

Our sponsorship also promotes collaboration among operators, service providers, and regulators, supports In-Country Value (ICV), and contributes to focused industry discussions on operational excellence, efficiency, and sustainability.

How did OPES align with your company’s strategic priorities for the region?

OPES aligns strongly with Daleel Petroleum’s strategic focus areas, including:

·       Adhering to the highest safety standards and practices

·       Sustaining and optimizing oil production in mature carbonate reservoirs

·       Enhancing cost competitiveness through disciplined execution

·       Accelerating digital integration, automation, and AI adoption

·       Advancing decarbonization and operational efficiency initiatives

·       Supporting Oman’s In-Country Value (ICV) objectives

The event provided an excellent platform to demonstrate how we prioritize safety, balance production performance with cost-effective solutions, accelerate digital transformation, and uphold strong environmental responsibility.

How would you describe your overall experience as a recurring OPES sponsor?

Our experience at OPES 2025 was highly positive and well organized. The event was attended by a wide range of participants, including national and international operators, service providers, regulators, and technology partners.

The level of engagement was strong, particularly in discussions around production optimization, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), oilfield solutions, and sustainability practices. The event provided valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and strategic dialogue across the energy sector.

What differentiates OPES from other regional or international energy events you participate in?

OPES stands out not only for its strong focus on practical, technology-driven solutions, but also for its well-balanced scale — large enough to attract key industry stakeholders, yet focused enough to enable meaningful and productive engagement. Key themes that differentiate the event include:

·       Increased adoption of AI and predictive analytics in production optimization

·       Real-time digital monitoring and automation across upstream operations

·       Enhanced cybersecurity frameworks for operational technology environments

·       Practical decarbonization initiatives integrated into field operations

In addition, a significant part of OPES is dedicated to Oman’s regulatory, geological, and operational environment. Discussions are closely linked to local field challenges, regulations, and market conditions, making the engagement more practical, focused, and directly applicable.

How valuable is OPES as a platform for building new partnerships and strengthening existing relationships?

OPES is highly valuable in strengthening collaboration across the energy value chain. It brings together key players from the Omani energy sector and the global energy industry in one place.

For Daleel Petroleum, partnerships with service providers, technology innovators, and government stakeholders are essential to maintaining performance and resilience. The event fosters trust, accelerates knowledge exchange, and creates opportunities for joint innovation initiatives that deliver tangible operational impact.

OPES also supports the introduction of new market entrants, encouraging practical collaboration rather than purely promotional exchanges.

What key trends or innovations in the energy sector stood out to you at OPES 2025?

Several important trends stood out this year, highlighting the industry’s shift toward smarter, more integrated operations:

·       Increased adoption of AI and predictive analytics in production optimization

·       Real-time digital monitoring and automation across upstream operations

·       Enhanced cybersecurity frameworks for operational technology environments

·       Practical decarbonization initiatives integrated into field operations

Overall, discussions reflected a clear industry direction toward digital integration, operational resilience, and sustainable performance.

How is your organisation contributing to decarbonisation, efficiency, or digital transformation?

At Daleel Petroleum, our approach is practical and result driven. We are advancing digital transformation through data-driven decision-making platforms that enhance operational visibility and reliability.

We leverage digital tools to strengthen real-time monitoring, optimize performance, and improve operational efficiency. We have successfully reduced non-routine flaring and continue to maintain strict controls to sustain this performance. In parallel, we are actively working to manage methane emissions and further improve energy efficiency across our facilities.

These initiatives help lower emissions, enhance cost efficiency, and maintain stable, sustainable production.
