Vice President Business Development
United Arab Emirates
I am the Vice President of Business Development for the Gulf Region at Mitsubishi Power, responsible for shaping the company's strategy across the GCC in gas-fired power generation and hydrogen-ready technologies. My career spans more than two decades in the power infrastructure sector across Egypt, North Africa, and the Gulf, including a prior tenure as Regional General Manager for North Africa at Mitsubishi Power. I hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical Power Engineering from Ain Shams University and an Executive MBA from the American University in Cairo. I attend OPES 2026 to engage with Oman's energy ecosystem on three themes that sit at the heart of our regional dialogue: the role of efficient gas-to-power in firming an evolving generation mix, decarbonisation pathways (hydrogen co-firing, CCUS-readiness, and plant efficiency upgrades), and the integration of new capacity with grid stability, particularly as the GCC interconnection deepens. I welcome meetings with operators, EPCs, utilities, financiers, and policy stakeholders working on Oman's Vision 2040 energy agenda.
